HOME!!!
I am finally home!!!!I was discharged from the hospital at about 6 pm. I was so happy!!! There were
some complications from surgery ( some body parts had fused themselves to others
and had to be separated) and a reaction to anesthesia that had to be dealt with.
Some body parts strongly objected to this and caused severe vomiting and pain. I
was released on Sun and had to be readmitted. I now have 5 iv start sites and 3
blood draw sites and more xrays of me then I know what to do with. I have a
condition where the bowels and bladder do not wake up and work properly after
anesthesia. It happens in about 3% of all surgeries. So its a matter of time and
more meds. Also had fall out from everything that was manipulated in surgery and
things that were removed. And lets not forget that it was a vaginal surgery and
I wound up being cut from hip bone to hip bone. So that plays into all of this.
I did however get to keep my ovaries even though it is NOT where they belong.
Anyways... That is the short version. I am very tired and off to bed. I am not
tired enough to be asleep but to tired to move... I have been off all pain meds
for 24 hours though and am very proud of myself for how I am doing in that
sense. I guess that is what is frustrating me the most is the long recovery
time. I was hoping for the 4 to 6 weeks and got told today I am on the at least
8 week plan
