We had the cheerleader parent meeting tonight. It did not go well. We got the total of the cost and its insane!!! I need like 5 jobs to afford this!!! We were told there was going to be fundraisers etc.. to offset the costs but!!! The coaches did not manage the money well last year and have decided to not do the financial aid like in the past. So the squads have no money saved up. Last year the girls got the uniforms and camp paid for. Figures it our luck for them to change it. The coaches want to take the funds we raise and buy some mats etc for something or other... I do not know. I do know there were a lot of very mad parents there. A few of them have 2 kids in it so they are looking at almost 1500!!! The bad thing is they keep changing the uniform each year so there is no way to use the same one twice and that to me is wrong. Why do we have to pay $400 every year???? The shoes I can see.. They get lots of wear etc.. But why keep changing the uniform???

I have a stupid cold right now and it's no fun!! I am coughing my head off!!!!The good thing is it should be gone by next week. The bad thing is since the news from earlier this week its ubber creepy!!!!

Jon spent the day today at his friends. It was his 18th birthday. Poor kid!! I really do feel so bad for him!!! I just can't fathom what this family is going through. Of course Jon has been so helpful and understanding to his friend. The mom called and asked Jon over for the day to help Ryan deal with things a bit. So Jon asked what can he do to help. Well... He is bringing cake for Ryan. OK I don't get this but its from a video game and makes sense to them. He is brought a round chocolate cake with the words cake is a lie written on it. Its from some game called portal. Jon said they all laughed for like 10 min. I am glad someone got it.
