Wild Wednesday
I have never ever ever been so terrified in my entire life!!!!! We got up at
6:30 this morning. We put the sleepy stuff on her hands and headed out. We
arrived at 8:10!! Someone went a bit above the speed limit (only 70 in a 60) so
we weren't late. But I will not name who was driving. We got checked in and
waited. Typical military hurry up and wait. Be on time or we cancel you. So we
were on time but would up waiting till almost 9:30. By this point her hands we
sound asleep
and she was very very hungry!!!!! Did I mention that she
couldn't eat after 9 pm!! She started the I am dying of hunger and this is
boring at that point. Finally we were called back. We met up with her doctor and
had a quick morning pep talk. She got to play in a wheel chair for a few
minutes. She was happy about that. Then we were led over to the bed. The scope
was laying there next to her and we got to see her on tv. She liked that part.
We had 4 staff around her bed the whole time. They offered her warm blankies and
liked her fat head pooh bear. They were really good about distracting her while
they started the iv. She did a quick silly drama queen moment and we of course
obliged with a camera to remind her of it. The guy asked if we were ready and
gave the sleepy drugs. I almost lost it here!!!! It causes young kids to have
server muscle spasms and it was way scary!!!!! I wanted to snatch her up and
hold her!!!! They had 02 on her and she was fine but still... It was really
hard!!!! We were escorted out and they took my baby!!!! We went into the waiting
room and were only there for 30 min!! Thankfully instead of the hour they had
predicted!! The Dr came and got us when he was done. She was very sleepy!! And
very grumpy!! She had asked for a whopper and we jokingly offered her one and
she sat up and said "food!!! " laid back down and went back to sleep. she would
cry if we tried to touch her. We were assured it was completely normal for kids
to be hypersensitive and really grumpy afterwards. She dozed for about an hour
and then we decided it was time to head out. She got to ride in a wheel chair (
much to her delight) and did circles in the lobby of the hospital. We poured her
into the car and she slept the entire trip home. She snores!!! We got home and
she slept a bit more and finally woke all the way up!!!!
The results won't be back for about a week from the biopsies. They did not see any visible damage but did change her meds to prevent it. They decided the dosage is not high enough. SO now she is on 2 different meds to each be taken 2 times a day.
