Is it really Friday???

Today was a long tiring day!! Poor little Stephie!! She had the doctor bright and early this morning. She does have severe acid reflux. She did not outgrow it like we had thought. She is back on medicine for that. She also has to go to Madigan again and see a Peds GI ( pediatric gastroenterologist) and have all kinds of testing done again. She is not happy about a possible barium swallow again. But she is a little trooper. Give the kid a cookie and she is good to go!! The other side of all this is not so good. They are taking her off all dairy products ( milk, cheese, yogurt and ICE CREAM!!) then in a few weeks when she is adjusted to this she is going gluten free. All of this will give her esophagus time to recover. She is red and irritated!! This should also help with all her vomiting. Also help her eczema!! They are thinking she might have some food allergies. So she is not a happy person. She is very worried about loosing her cookies!! We spent a few hours searching for wheat/dairy free cookies! She will not live without cookies. Just not happening. Nope no way!!! She would die!! She says she would die if she has to go a day without one!

side note: Stephie weighs in at 59 lbs!! Yes she is underweight and smurf small!!! She needs to eat more!! Dr said so!! And her blood pressure was low. It was 73/41. They said that is low for a kid.

Then when I took her to school its was a disaster!!! Her principal is a total JERK!! The office lady is a complete idiot!!! We came home and looked into what we need to do to home school. Ok Dave did that. I looked at new houses to move into. Seriously!! I have had enough!!! Stephie had several things to bring into school today and she needed to let her teacher know she is on med. and needs to eat more often. So we need to included a snack in her day in the morning and afternoon. And I need to get her some good home lunches thought up. So anyways.... I am there in the office trying to help her and they would NOT let me help her. The office lady was like we can call another student to help her or she can make trips. What is so secret I as a parent can't see?? The school in Hawaii was an open campus. Parents were welcome any time to see the class. Not here! You need an appt to go to the class and see what is going on. It makes me very uncomfortable!! Kind of a what are they hiding feeling. On top of that the principal and I got into it. This kid has been puking for 3 months. I have no control over how fast I can get her a dr appt and I needed to make sure it was not drama queen and it was real. But she has been to the dr several times and nothing has been remedied. Well, he is giving me crap that she misses to much school and we need to have a meeting. He doesn't feel that she has a good enough reason. So next time she doesn't feel well I will send her to school and let her puke all over. Then when he calls me I will tell him that its more important for her to be there then be home sick. I won't really but I want to. This child has been through absolutely enough!! She has been sick since she was 2 days old (well probably since she was born but 2 days is when she was diagnosed).

2nd side note : she says her medicine is horrible. It's peppermint flavored and smells nasty. How am I going to get her to take this 2 times a day everyday for the next zillion years??? Seriously!!! This is long term med until she is an adult at least probably. She was already on it for 5 years when we took her off to see if she had outgrown this.

So that is my fun and exciting day!!! Anyone want to come help me get the next dose in her in the next hour?
