The SHED!!!

First thing this morning we dropped off the Buick at Midas to have the brakes checked. After that we headed to Chicago.  We went to the Shed Aquarium today. My cousin Kelly volunteers there so she got us free tickets. It was fin. The kids really enjoyed it. They put on a mini dolphin show. After that we tried to go to the Sears Tower but... Chicago drivers!!! O M G !!!! They start honking the horn the split second the light turns and do not give a chance to move the car. They also try to kill anyone who is on the street by ramming the cars or running you over. They are insane!!! We headed back to the condo after that picking up the car on the way. The Buick wound up with almost $1000 in repairs!! All new front brakes, 4 new tires, and some seal in the fuel line was replaced. So now it runs really nice. After that we headed to the condo as we were meeting George for dinner. We arrived to find a note from Missy on the front door. It was not nice. It told me to get cleaning. She took a bunch of things from the condo. Including the dishes!!! Now what are we supposed to eat on? I know that she said she wanted them but come on!! She is freakin taking everything that is not nailed down. I feel really violated. Its like we were robbed in a way. She was in the house packing things while no one was here and she didn't tell anyone she was coming here. She left no message on my phone or the house phone or with my brother. She has no respect for the fact that we are staying here. If the house was truly empty then by all means but while we are here is plain and simply rude. As you can see she torked me off and I am still fuming! We had a nice dinner with George at Texas Roadhouse. We are meeting up with him tomorrow at the college he teaches at. We are going to the museum on Wed and then heading home on Thursday. It's going to be a long trip.

There is a $960 car repair bill that my brother paid so I didn't count it in today's bills. I am glad tomorrow is going to be a slow day. I am very tired but there is so much I want to do as I don't think we will come back here for a very long time. I will keep in touch with my brother but I most likely will not ever speak to my sister again and that does not make me sad. I wish we had like 2 weeks and a ton of money here to see and do a lot more then we are. I wish we could see all the museums and Brookfield zoo and Navy Pier and Great Lakes Naval Base. But on the way home we have 3 stops planned at least that I am looking forward to. We are stopping in Nauvoo and Carthage on the way home. Also I think we are going to stop in Yellowstone. Anywho, I am off to relax for a bit.
