I got a free deep tissue massage today!!! It was awesome!! I highly recommend
it!!!! I met a girl in massage school and she needs people to practice her
homework on. I sacrificed myself. I had never had one before and let me tell
you!! I volunteered myself for next week already! I can't wait! It was so
decadent!! I can't say enough about it. Seriously. Everyone should get one at
some point in life. She came over to our house and we did it in the upstairs
living room over looking the lake. It was so freakin relaxing!!!!! I didn't want
it to ever end!!! She is in school until Nov so I offered to be her practice
body until her hubby gets home from sea. Dave is on the list to for one. I can't
say enough about her. She rocks!! She had this ubber yummy minty lotion and it
was tingly. She made my day. And with all the stress from Post and the stand I
needed to relax. After that I grabbed Meega from cheer practice and ran Liz to
the store for formula for Goobie. Then off to the dentist I ran. It was cleaning
time. We set these appts like 6 months ago and its impossible to reschedule so I
went. My tooth has been bothering me a little bit and now we know why. I need a
filling replaced
So I am doing that in a few weeks.
Here is your post Liz. She is wondering why I never complain about her or
anything so here it is for your benefit. Liz has a very messy bedroom and won't
unload the dishwasher. Is that good enough??? SO um yeah my 21 yo child has my
blog bookmarked and reads it so I can't talk bad about her
Lubs ya Lizzy....
Ok so running a firework stand seemed like a really good idea. Potential to make loads of money. Sit in a parking lot and chill with the kids. No tv so lots of family time can be spent. Now the reality. The kids fight due to tiredness and boredom. They forgot their Ds's or didn't charge them. Forgot fav games. Get dirty and it bugs them so they keep changing shirts. Every time we start to do something a customer comes in. Yes I know its a business so don't go there. But try to calm a crying 10yo and deal with people and the 10 yo gets sent to post to cool off. The kids honestly have been great. They are self amusers so they find fun with the littlest things. Like the decor. They have spent hours making up dances etc to entertain themselves. Meega is practicing cheers. But when boredom sets in the fighting starts. Also I have now read 4 magazines and a 300 page book. Also played several games on the computer. Watched a few movies on my PSP. Played the dot game with the kids. I am seriously out of things to pass time with. Makes one realize how dependant on technology we are. It has bugged me for awhile now. I don't know how to get away from it. I have a cell phone I never can remember to bring with or charge but this week it has been a necessity. But we have lived all week with no electricity for the most part. We do run a generator to run the cash register. And charge lappy. But we barely have running water. We have no tv. And we have lived. Granted I go home every night and sleep in my bed. Would we live without tv??? I know we need internet for Dave's real estate stuff but how do we get away from as much time as we spend on the computers??? How do we spend less time doing separate things and more family time??? Or is the separate things a start of the kids moving into their own lives??? I will be very sad to see my kids all grown up and living their own lives but that is my job to do. Raise them to be responsible citizens who hold jobs and are contributing member of society. Teach them to be honest and loving people. Raise them to go out in the world and leave a good mark.
Sitting here also gives one tons of time to reflect on the meaning of life... So I have learned some things and given some thoughts to what I want to change in my life. How I want to live my live and what I want from my future. Way to many deep thoughts for me. Time to go read something fluffy.
We have seen tons of custody exchanges. Many kids going from parent to parent/grand parent.
We have seen a domestic violence where he was throwing her up against the car. Yes he went to jail.
We get to see all the people who car pool to work and park by the tent. We had a huge discussion on how to be eco friendly.
We have seen how many people are not. Stephie has been taking a trash bag around the parking lot at night and picking up all the trash people leave behind during the day. She also returns all the unloved shopping carts. Free of trash and debris. There is a dumpster 50 feet from us.
We have seen 2 car accidents. We have had 3 people run over the 20 feet of caution tape that surround us. We now know how bad people really drive.
We truly know how annoying loud cars are and loud music. I need some really good ear plugs.
Milk will not stay good overnight when the fridge is not making cold air.
Pizza stays good all day without refrigeration. 2 large pizzas will keep the girls from complaining they are hungry all day.
Rain in a tent makes a very humid yucky situation. Humidity makes for yucky sticky people. I need a shower!!!
Dogs don't like to be in firework stands.
Parking lots are very dirty. Just ask my now very dirty grandson. He is going to need a year of bathing to find the clean kid under it. Also do not wear light color clothing. It gets dirty fast.
When the kids say your lawn chair is in the rv physically go look before you leave and don't trust them. FYI it was in the back of Jon's car for some unknown to everyone reason.
Albertsons does not turn off the gigantic overhead lights at night. How is someone supposed to sleep in burn your eyes out light????? HUH??? I made heavy light blocking drapes and the bad thing is they block the air flow too so its 9000000 degrees inside. So burn your eyes out or melt your skin off.....Makes for tired grumpy me. I need a nap!!
Rave time! The staff here are freakin awesome!! Seriously! They are the nicest people!!! I dislike the ones by my house but this one rawks!! The staff are so friendly and helpful! They have been letting us use their microwave to cook food. We made instant noodles. Quite the gourmet aren't I? Its all I can make while watching the stand. I keep meaning to make something at home and bring it out but there are not enough hours in the day. And by the time I get home forget it. I can barely remember to plug in my cell phone and computer for the next day. The way it wound up working out : Dave opens most mornings while I am at home dealing with house issues. I take Meega to cheer, clean house, do some laundry, do the bank drop, fax paperwork, get food and gas and boogie down to Port Orchard. Then I sit at the stand while Dave goes off to work. At the stand I close the whole thing down. We remove all merchandise every night and lock it in a huge container. Then I grab the till and count it all down and start to prepare the next days paperwork for bank deposit. Then I head home and drop keys off to Dave. When he gets off work he sleeps in Post so he can open easier. I seriously need a nap.
Post is misbehaving.... Her house batteries are not holding a charge. Is she throwing a fit?? Have we offended her somehow??? SO I had to throw out a bunch of food. Hrumph...
On that note... Costco had the new milk carton shape thingy. I DO NOT LIKE IT!!! It leaks really bad when kids try to pour. Half the milk went on the counter. It drips. It spills very easy. Stephie struggled with it and said buy the old kind from now on. Not sure why they changed them or why that shape. But we no likies.
We were talking with Meega and she cracks me up. We were talking how when she goes to school in the fall she can tell everyone she lived in POST in Albertsons parking lot for a week. WHOO HOO!! Excitement here!!!Can you hear the sarcasm here folks. Seriously. How exciting are we????
Where oh where have ye been... Well silly... I told ya we were running a
fireworks stand. Not sure how its going yet. We are all tired and dirty and
bored to death. We are now living in P.O.S.T. in an Albertson's parking lot.
Yeah need I say more??? Post is not behaving either
For some reason the
fridge is not staying cold. The fan won't work so its 8 bazillion degrees. As we
were getting ready to leave the water pump went out. The floor is 70 percent
installed. Need I say more?? And the icing on all this??? The first night we
were out here someone stole our gas can for the generator. I know it was my
fault for not bringing it in but still... Dave came back from work about 1 am
and it was here. We woke up and it was gone. We had moved it under the wheel
well of POST but someone snagged it.
POST = piece of stupid trash or whatever at the current moment.
So since I do not have regular internet posting is sporadic but I can type away all day and stare at it! I did bring out lappy to play games on and entertain me in my boredom....
Wow!!! We have a ton of fireworks!!! I really hope we sell them all. If we do we will be financially set for the rest of this year!! Seriously!! We would be able to live within our mean comfortably and have a nice Christmas. We would not have to scrimp and be so dang cheap and tell the kids no all the time.
Spazzy Jazzy is still her bizarre self. We are finally getting to be able to hold her and she is calming down a tiny bit. She needs to grow a bit more mature wise I think. She was ubber baby when we got her and female hammies are way more high maintenance. Stephie is not sure about her. She was used to mellow Schmee who loved to be held and snuggle on his mommy.
